On Sunday 24 August prepare to be swept away by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, as they take you on a journey through the most memorable, thrilling, and poignant silver screen soundtracks of all time. Culminating in a magnificent fireworks finale, and all set against a wonderful summer’s evening in Battersea Park.
Prepare to be astonished by the spectacular work of John Williams, Hans Zimmer, John Barry and more, retold by the 60-piece concert orchestra, performing soundtrack selections from some of the greatest movies of all time. Conducted by musical maestro Pete Harrison plus special guest singers to be announced.
Support comes from the UK’s most in-demand swing vocalist Matt Ford and his band, celebrating songs from the golden age of Broadway to Hollywood. Featuring iconic works by composers such George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Irving Berlin, the performance brings together timeless songs that define a classic era of Stage and Screen.
